The Internet
The internet is an amazing
piece of technology. I use the internet everyday of my life. I use it for school purposes, to interact with my friends, check
my finances, and map out directions. Thanks to the internet, I am able to find restaurants, find coupons, download music,
locate stores and their hours of operation, and a vast amount of other things. The internet is an extremely versatile thing
that affects my life on a daily basis from my education, to my future career.
My education has been extremely
affected by the internet. The idea of taking a class online was never even something I considered a few years ago. With the
growth of the internet, college has become more accessible. Since I live 45 miles from Mt. Sac I am grateful for the internet
because I have the opportunity to take an online class from my comfortable leather couch. This saves both time and gas. Also
the internet helps my education by allowing me to check all of my personal records online. This includes adding and dropping
classes, checking my financial aid, checking my grades, and a multitude of other things. The internet also affects my education
by allowing me to email my professors with any questions pertaining to class. This has become a very efficient and quick form
of communication that has proven to be a very valuable resource.
In the future, I hope to
become an air traffic controller. The internet has affected my future job aspirations by allowing to do extensive research
regarding my career. With the help of the internet, I was able to research air traffic controlling, find the right school
that would enable me to obtain the right aviation science degree, and find possible job opportunities for the future.
