CPU and RAM
Transmeta Corporation
discovered in 1995 designed the TM5600 x86 efficient compatible software-based microprocessors that delivers a influential
balance of low power consumption, high performance, low cost and small in size. Important for diverse computing platforms
demanding energy efficiency, low heat and x86 software compatibility. Transmeta Corp. also developed superior power management
technologies for controlling leakage and increasing power efficiency.
The TM5600 has a 7- stage integer pipeline and a 10- stage floating point pipeline.
The 64K of L1 instruction cache is 8-way set associative, and the 64K of L1 data cache is 16-way set associative.
Ram/Memory
Ram comes in two different
types to hold data dynamic Ram and static Ram. Dynamic Ram needs to be refreshed often unlike static Ram that doesn’t
to be refreshed which makes it faster. Being much faster static Ram is significantly more expensive.

Random Access Memory is
the best known form of memory for computers. The opposite of Ram is Serial Access memory. Serial Access Memory works very
well for memory buffers.

Shadow Ram is the part
where it’s content copies from ROM’s to make it run faster. ROM is generally slower then Ram.
