Hard Drive:

            Western Digital is one example of a hard drive manufacturer. They manufacture a vast variety of hard drives. Western Digital manufactures desktop hard drives, mobile hard drives, external hard drives, and CE hard drives for digital recording devices. They also offer a wide variety of accessories for hard drives which include: cables, controller cards, power supplies and carrying cases. 

            My favorite product that Western Digital manufactures is the WD Passport. This is a portable USB hard drive that is offered in capacities from 40 to 120 GB. This product is designed to pack up your office files and go home. I think it is a great product because it does not require a power adaptor and is powered directly through the USB cable. I also like this product because it has maximum protection from data loss due to its rugged, protective case and shock tolerant 2.5 hard drive.

CD/DVD writer/player:

            Sony is one example of CD/DVD writer/player manufacturer. Sony manufacturers a wide variety of CD/DVD writer/players from DVD-RW burners to CD-RW burners to combo drives that include both. They offer CD/DVD writer/players that operate in both desktops and notebooks. They have a slim line of writers/players that are made specifically for notebook applications.

            My favorite Sony manufactured product is the CRX230E. This product is a high performance CD-RW drive that can create a full CD-R disc in less than two minutes. It can also create a full CD-RW disc in less than 4 minutes. This product uses a Power-Burn drive conformed with buffer underrun protection technology. This product is my favorite because I burn a vast amount of CDs and I hate waiting around for them to finish burning. I think it would be great to have a CD-RW drive that could burn a CD for me in less than two minutes.

Flash Memory drive (USB):

            One example of a flash memory drive manufacturer is Dynamic USB. Dynamic USB is a leading manufacturer of custom USB drives and the industry leader for quality and competitive prices. They manufacture a large amount of flash memory drives with memory ranging from 64 MB to 2 GB. Dynamic USB also offers graphical logo and text placement directly on the USB drive. One could also purchase a flash memory drive with custom engraving.

            My favorite Dynamic USB manufactured product is the HS-027. This is a flash memory device that has a plastic, latex feel outer shell with an aluminum swing-arm that covers the connective end of the USB device. Its memory ranges from 64 MB to 2 GB and its dimensions are 6.3 x 2.3 x 0.8cm. I think this product is great because it is one of the very few flash memory drives sold that does not have a removable cap. I tend to be a little forgetful and I believe if I had a USB with a removable cap, that it would surely get lost. Since the HS-027 has a sliding arm, as opposed to a removable cap, it is my favorite Dynamic USB product.
